VIA ZOOM TELECONFERENCE The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village of Colonie Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. ROLL CALL: Chairman Chris Dennis Commissioners: John Martin Peter Chudzinski Kenny Hart Dan Judge Jim Splonskowski Mark Keegan, alternate Village Attorney: Victor Caponera Village Engineer: R.J. Laberge (Absent) Code Enforcement: Steve Meservey (Absent) Acting Chairman Martin opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Commissioner Hart led the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Dennis entered the meeting and stated that Commissioner Keegan will be a full voting member for this meeting. The Commission reviewed the regular meeting minutes from December 15, 2020. Commissioner Martin made a motion to approve the minutes as amended. Commissioner Hart seconded the motion. VOTE: Unanimous to approve the December 15, 2020 meeting minutes as amended. APPLICANT: 18 COMPUTER DRIVE WEST STE. 100 ROHAN & DELANCEY, P.C (CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY) Chairman Dennis stated that neither the property owner nor the applicant were present. The property owner requested that the application be reviewed since the Commission is familiar with the property and occupancy. Chairman Dennis stated that the application is for a change of occupancy at 18 Computer Dr. West suite 100 and is proposing a law firm that specializes in Real Estate closings. Chairman Dennis stated that this business is currently operating out of 5 Computer Drive West suite 200. There are no proposals for expansion or renovation. VILLAGE OF COLONIE January 5, 2021 PLANNING COMMISSION Commissioner Martin made a motion to approve Rohan & DeLancey, P.C at 18 Computer Drive West suite 100. Commissioner Hart seconded the motion. VOTE: Unanimous to approve the application as presented. DISCUSSION: Coordinator Hart stated that the site plan application for DePaula at 1586 Central Ave was removed from the agenda at the applicant request. The applicant needed to provide more information per Engineer Laberge’s review letter. Chairman Dennis stated that he wanted to see more information on the height of the proposed berms in front of the nine new proposed parking spaces. There was a question as to whether or not the grease containers located on 1770 Central Avenue had been relocated. Commissioner Chudzinski stated they had not. Attorney Caponera updated the Commission on his interaction with the property’s attorney regarding the grease containers. The Commission is awaiting a new submittal to address this issue.
