                                  PUBLIC HEARING
 RESOLUTION 2022-61 “Authorization to expend funds out of the capital reserve water repair
       and replacement fund for the water meter upgrade and replacement project”
                          MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2022

At 6:30 p.m. a motion was made by Trustee White to open the public hearing.
This motion was seconded by Trustee Lockart.

              Mayor Tobin                   ABSENT
Motion passed.

Deputy Mayor Sim explained that this expenditure would be for the continuation of the DPW’s
water project. All water meters were last replaced approximately 12 to 13 years ago, and many of
them are beginning to fail. The new system includes 3 towers that will be set up, with two
already set up near Cook Park and Sunset Boulevard. This technology would allow Village Hall
staff and members of the DPW to conduct water meter readings right from the office. The reports
produced by the software are also much more detailed and provide a lot of helpful information.
Last week, a training session was held with Village staff to learn how to use the program, and a
seminar would be held for the Mayor and Board of Trustees as well.

Motion passed.

Trustee White made a motion to close the public hearing. Trustee Lockart seconded this motion.

Public hearing adjourned at 6:33 p.m.
