The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village of Colonie Planning Commission was held at Village Hall, 2 Thunder Road Albany, NY 12205 on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. ROLL CALL: Chairman Chris Dennis Commissioners: John Martin Peter Chudzinski Kenny Hart Dan Judge Jim Splonskowski Mark Keegan (Absent) Village Attorney: Victor Caponera Village Engineer: R.J. Laberge Chairman Dennis opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Commissioner Hart led the Pledge of Allegiance, and requested all electronic devices be turned off or muted. The Commission reviewed the regular meeting minutes from July 20, 2021. Commissioner Martin made a motion to approve the minutes, as amended. Commissioner Hart seconded the motion. VOTE: Unanimous to approve the July 20, 2021 meeting minutes as amended. DISCUSSION: 1755 CENTRAL AVE The Commission reviewed the recommendation letter drafted by Engineer Laberge for the Mayor and Board of Trustees regarding the proposed re-zoning request at 1755 Central Ave. Commissioner Martin questioned whether or not there should have been consideration for benefit to the community for the rezoning. Attorney Caponera explained the purpose of the Planning Commission was not to address that issue but to make a recommendation regarding the proposed zoning boundaries. Commissioner Hart made a motion to approve the letter. Commissioner Chudzinski seconded the motion. VOTE: John Martin - NO Peter Chudzinski - YES Kenny Hart - YES Dan Judge – YES Jim Splonskowski - YES VILLAGE OF COLONIE AUGUST 3, 2021 PLANNING COMMISSION Chris Dennis – YES Motion passed. 132-134-124 LINCOLN AVE The Commission reviewed the proposed site plan changes on the site of 132-134-124 Lincoln Ave as submitted on July 22, 2021. The Commission developed a list of comments and questions that Engineer Laberge will document and distribute to the applicant. 4 FRITZ BLVD The Commission reviewed a submitted site plan for 4 Fritz Blvd and previously approved tenant, Fleetwash. The tenant was conditionally approved pending site plan amendments. The Commission found the site and site plan non-compliant. Commissioner Chudzinski made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
