Mayor Tobin opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with the pledge of allegiance. Curran Present Village Attorney Neidl Present Minutes of the regularly scheduled Board meeting that was held on September 6th, 2022, were reviewed by the present members of the board. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve the minutes. This motion was seconded by Trustee Rubino. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve Resolution 2022-48 “Authorize the Clerk to Continue with Matrix Communications for the 2022-2023 Year Maintenance Agreement for Landline Phone and Fax Services”. This motion was seconded by Deputy Mayor Sim. This resolution is related to the CARES Grant that the Village of Colonie has recently received from New York State. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Sim to approve Resolution 2022-50 “Resolution Authorizing the Designation of a Fair Housing Officer”. This motion was seconded by Trustee Lockart. This resolution is related to the CARES Grant that the Village of Colonie has recently received from New York State. Deputy Mayor Sim made a motion to authorize the Clerk to advertise the “Grievance Procedure Under the Americans with Disabilities Act”. Trustee Lockart seconded this motion. Mayor Tobin stated that on Saturday, September 17th, we had a successful Centennial Parade. The weather was nice, and there was a great turnout for the parade with each street having spectators. The parade featured floats, antique cars, and even Santa Clause. The Colonie Police Department were present to help with traffic. It seemed that everyone was happy and enjoyed themselves. Mayor Tobin added that the next event we have to look forward to is the Centennial Dinner on October 8th. Trustee Lockart congratulated Mayor Tobin and Deputy Mayor Sim on the successful parade. In addition, all of the department heads and DPW members worked together to coordinate the parade. It was a lot of work, and Trustee Lockart stated that she was proud of all of the Village employees for pulling it together. Mr. Wayne Smith, from Tanglewood Road, was present in the audience. He came forward and mentioned to the Board that nothing has been done in front of his house regarding the drainage problems. DPW Superintendent Les Decker was also present in the audience and was able to inform Mr. Smith that he was actually meeting with Mr. R.J. Laberge on the following day to discuss the drainage issues. Mr. Decker explained that Mr. Laberge had results of the study he completed on Tanglewood Road and Tattersall Lane, and together, they would be able to come up with a viable solution for the residents affected. Deputy Mayor Sim added that Mr. Decker would be in contact with Mr. Smith in the upcoming week and ensured that he had Mr. Smith’s contact information. Mr. Smith also commended the Board on the successful parade, stating that it was a very nice day. Deputy Mayor Sim made a motion for the Mayor and Board of Trustees to enter an executive session with Village Attorney Neidl at 6:41 p.m. regarding a personnel issue. Trustee Lockart seconded this motion. Trustee Lockart made a motion to adjourn the executive session at 6:54 p.m. Trustee Rubino seconded this motion.
