Trustee White also stated that the DPW has a lot of great new hires and that the senior guys have done a nice job welcoming them and showing them the duties. Mayor Tobin mentioned that we held our annual tree lighting ceremony, and it was well attended with about 150 participants. He also mentioned that the Santa parade will take place on December 11th and 12th, departure will be at 10:00 a.m. each day. Mayor Tobin also mentioned the Village went to the post office today and should be in the homes later this week. He also stated he attended a ribbon cutting at the Capital Church on Vly Road for their food pantry, it was a nice event. Mayor Tobin and Deputy Mayor Sim gave an update on the Hoffman rezoning request to resident Mr. Stevens. Deputy Mayor Sim said they are partially trying to address concerns that the neighbors had with lighting and noise complaints. Mr. Stevens said the rows of vacuums is of concern with the noise. Deputy Mayor Sim said they are waiting to hear back from Hoffman’s for a response to the Villages concerns that is they only need half the area, why are they asking for more than that. Mr. Stevens said that is his concern as well. Chief Kayser read aloud the November 2021 monthly fire report. He mentioned there were 488 calls to date and they are just a few calls short from it being the busiest year in firehouse history. Chief Kayser thanked the Mayor and Board for the purchase of the new air pack system. He added that with this new system it is much safer for the firemen. Superintendent Decker said that they are on their last trip around the village for leaves. He added that one of the leaf vacuums is down and the other one is on its way out. Both vacuums are 30 and 20 years old. Deputy Mayor Sim said to continue the program for next year we will have to most likely to purchase a new leaf vacuum. Superintendent Decker mentioned that he is preparing the trailer for the Santa parade. Superintendent Decker thanked the Mayor and Board for the much-needed equipment purchases lately. He said his department appreciates the efforts to replace some of the outdated equipment. The following reports were submitted: Fire Dept.
