Mayor Sim opened the meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Mayor Sim Present Trustee Lockart Present Trustee Murphy Present Trustee Tobin Present Clerk Blot Present Minutes of the regularly scheduled board meeting that was held on July 6, 2020 were reviewed by the present members of the board. A motion was made by Trustee Murphy to approve the minutes, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee Tobin. VOTE: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Murphy Yes Trustee Tobin Yes Mayor Sim Yes Motion passed. Minutes approved. A budget transfer request was submitted by the Treasurers for approval. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve the transfer, as submitted. Motion seconded by Trustee Tobin. VOTE: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Murphy Yes Trustee Tobin Yes Mayor Sim Yes Motion passed. The following reports were given for the month of June 2020: Building Department Mayor Sim gave a summary of where we are today in relation to the COVID pandemic. We are back to having in-person meetings. Our Summer park program has been canceled and all mass gathering events and rentals have been postponed through the month of August. We will reevaluate in the coming weeks to see how we will proceed after August. Trustee Tobin stated there is a Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. There are a few change of occupancy requests, a subdivision proposal and a site plan review. Superintendent Decker stated that the first heavy item pick-up was today. Went smoothly. Were completed with the pick-up around lunch time. They had 36 pick-ups scheduled. Trustee Lockart asked Chief Kayser about multiple calls to an address of Railroad Avenue, to which the Chief said they have responded 3 times in the past 2 days. He also said there is an issue with the sprinkler system. The address is in Fuller Road’s jurisdiction. Town of Colonie doesn’t have nuisance policy, but are handling the issue with the owner. The Chief gave an update about an incident where a car drove into a house on Central Avenue. He added it was a DWI incident and there was minor damage done to the exterior of the home. While investigating, it was discovered that there were several code violations in the home and the Chief referred the issues to Code Enforcement Officer Cerone. Code Enforcement Officer Cerone said he inspected the property and there are many property maintenance violations. He put the owners on notice and sent a formal complaint. Resident Milt Schmidt mentioned that Little League started last weekend. They are using the social distancing guide that was provided to the Mayor. He added the mask wearing is difficult to enforce at this time, but they are doing their best. Mayor Sim asked if hold harmless releases were signed by all involved, to which Mr. Schmidt said yes. Mayor Sim requested copies of those releases. Trustee Lockart asked Mr. Schmidt if he had enough masks and hand sanitizer, to which he said yes, but he would let her know if they were running low. Abstract # 3 breakdown: General: $ 153,229.33 Water: $ 43,461.36 Sewer: $ 57,516.43 Total: $ 254,207.12 A motion was made by Trustee Tobin to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by Trustee Murphy.
