Mayor Tobin opened the meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Mayor Tobin Present Deputy Mayor Sim Present Trustee Lockart Present Trustee Rubino Present Trustee White Absent Clerk Blot Present Minutes of the regularly scheduled board meeting that was held on May 16, 2022, were reviewed by the present members of the board. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve the minutes. Motion seconded by Trustee Rubino. VOTE: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Rubino Yes Deputy Mayor Sim Yes Mayor Tobin Yes Motion passed. A motion was made by Trustee Rubino to approve Resolution 2022-39 “Payroll adjustment for new rates”. Motion seconded by Trustee Lockart. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Sim to authorize the Clerk to advertise for a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. for Resolution 2022-40 “Authorization to spend money out of the Capital Reserve DPW equipment fund”. Motion seconded by Trustee Lockart. VOTE: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Rubino Yes Deputy Mayor Sim Yes Mayor Tobin Yes Motion passed. A motion was made by Trustee Rubino to approve Resolution 2022-41 “Accepting the services of Blake R. Hall pursuant to general municipal law section 209-i(1a) and authorizing the commanding officer to the Village of Colonie fire department to accept the same”. Motion seconded by Deputy Mayor Sim. VOTE: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Rubino Yes Deputy Mayor Sim Yes Mayor Tobin Yes Motion passed. Mayor Tobin mentioned that he and a few other board members attended the memorial service at the Crossings, which was a nice event. He also mentioned he attended the Living Resources ceremony and presented the “Frank A. Leak” award in Elm Park Avenue in Bethlehem, which was also a nice event. He mentioned he saw a Village resident there who had concerns about the Bauer Park trails and that he passed those concerns onto Superintendent Decker. Chief Kayser read aloud the May 2022 report. Chief Kayser also suggested creating a checklist for new hires. Clerk Blot mentioned that the “Neighbors make the difference” event is taking place tomorrow, May 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Cook Park. Employees from Key Bank will be present for a “clean up” event at Cook Park.
