Mayor Tobin opened the meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees at 6:30 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Mayor Tobin Present Trustee Lockart Present Trustee Rubino Present Trustee Sim Present Trustee White Present Clerk Blot Present Minutes of the regularly scheduled board meeting that was held on May 7, 2021 were reviewed by the present members of the board. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve the minutes, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee White. VOTE: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Rubino Yes Trustee Sim Yes Trustee White Yes Mayor Tobin Yes Motion passed. The Clerk requested a vote for Resolution 2021-37 “Payroll adjustment for new rates”. A motion was made by Trustee Sim to approve Resolution 2021-37, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee White. The Clerk requested a vote for Resolution 2021-38 “Establishment of appointed official position of Deputy Assessor”. Appointment of Christina Secor to that position. A motion was made by Trustee Sim to approve resolution 2021-38, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee White. The Clerk requested a vote for Resolution 2021-39 “Appointment of Sign Review Board member”. Appointment of Jason DePaulo to that position. A motion was made by Trustee White to approve resolution 2021-39, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee Sim. The Clerk requested a vote for Resolution 2021-40 “Adjustment of water penalty for June 2021 Village tax”. A motion was made by Trustee White to approve resolution 2021-33, as presented. The Clerk requested authorization to advertise for sealed bids for the 2021 paving project. Bids will be received by and opened at 11:00 a.m. at Village Hall, 2 Thunder Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Friday, June 18, 2021. A motion was made by Trustee White to authorize the Clerk to advertise as stated above. Motion seconded by Trustee Lockart. The Clerk requested a vote for the budget transfer request submitted by the treasurers. A motion was made by Trustee White to approve the budget transfers, as presented. Trustee Lockart mentioned that the senior center is scheduled to open on June 14, 2021, lunches will be inside and will be available for carry-out. Trustee Sim reiderated congratulations to Mrs. Secor and added that she is going a great job. Mayor Tobin mentioned that Mrs. Secor is very helpful especially with the budget. Mayor Tobin stated that the first summer concert will take place on June 22, 2021. Concerts will be held every other week this year. Chief Kayser read aloud the May 2021 fire department report. The Chief also mentioned that there is an underground natural gas issue in the vicinity of Hunting Road and Sand Creek Road that he is in contact with National Grid about. Trustee Sim asked Superintendent Decker to also contact a representative from National Grid about the issue. Superintendent Decker mentioned that employee Scott Halter has returned to work and will be resuming helping with the senior van. The following proclamations were given: • Charlotte Lebron, for outstanding community service on behalf of the Zonta Club of Albany • Mildred Singleton, in recognition and honor of her 105th birthday and 80+ years as a Village resident The following reports were submitted: Firehouse May 2021 Senior Center 5/17/2021-5/28/2021 Abstract #24 breakdown: General: $ 59,456.18 Water: $ 623,697.42 Page 3 of 4 Sewer: $ 3,611.09 Total: $ 686,764.69 A motion was made by Trustee Sim to adjourn the meeting.
