Mayor Tobin opened the meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees at 6:30 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve the minutes, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee Rubino. Minutes of the regularly scheduled board meeting that was held on April 19, 2021 were reviewed by the present members of the board. Stormwater Management Officer Randy Rivera presented the board with the 2020 stormwater management report. He also mentioned that the draft is on the website for public inspection. He stated the final copy needs to be given to the state by June 1, 2021. He went over the 2021-2022 training requirements. Training needs to be completed by March 2022. He stated he will work with Clerk Blot in getting the training distributed to the employees. He stated that the Mayor and Board should be trained, as well as the building department employees, the department of public works employees and some of the boards and commissions. He also added there are 73 outfalls to check by March 2022. Trustee Sim asked if Laberge goes with us for the fallout inspections, to which Mr. Rivera said no. Superintendent Decker added that Mr. Chris Ciota is trained in the fallout procedure and goes on the inspections. Mr. Rivera stated the report, training and fall out inspection should be conducted annually. The Board thanked Mr. Rivera for his presentation. The Clerk requested a vote for Resolution 2021-23 “Water Adjustment #2 April 2021 – 35 Vly Road”. A motion was made by Trustee Sim to approve Resolution 2021-23, as presented. The following reports were submitted: Senior Center 4/19/2021-4/30/2021 Fire Department Report April 2021 Mayor Tobin read aloud a proclamation for the 2021 Municipal Clerks week and presented the proclamation to Clerk Blot. Clerk Blot thanked the Mayor and Board for the recognition. It was a pleasant surprise. Chief Kayser read aloud the April 2021 fire report. He also mentioned that he updated the state training records, which consisted of removing and adding firemen. He also stated the extraction rescue tools were received and are on the trucks. He said these new tools are going to help make extractions easier since they are not connected by a cord to the trucks. He added these new extraction tools bring the firehouse up to date. Trustee Lockart mentioned that the senior lunch program continues to be successful. Many seniors are utilizing the program. She also mentioned there is a planning commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, 2021, there is a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. regarding the Stewarts proposal for the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Central Avenue. She also added that we alerted not only the required surrounding neighbors, as required, but we also extending our reach and took into consideration others who may be affected by this development. We have done this with several projects in the past, and believe it is a good practice to notify a larger scope of residents. Mayor Tobin mentioned that Little League opening day way held on April 24, 2021, and it was a nice day.
