Mayor Tobin opened the meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Mayor Tobin Present Trustee Lockart Present Trustee Murphy Present Trustee Sim Present Trustee White Present Clerk Blot Present Minutes of the regularly scheduled board meeting that was held on October 5, 2020 were reviewed by the present members of the board. A motion was made by Trustee Sim to approve the minutes, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee White. Resolution #2020-20 “Water adjustment #1 of October 2020 – 14 Petra Lane” was presented to the Mayor and Board for review. Clerk Blot explained that when the replacement meter was installed it was entered in as an 8- digit meter when it is actually only a 6-digit meter, therefore the ending zero should have been eliminated. The corrected amount should be $717.47, not $7,175.03, which was originally billed. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve Resolution #2020-20, as presented. Trustee Sim mentioned that the Halloween drive-by event will take place on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. He mentioned that any board member available is welcome to come. Mayor Tobin reminded everyone to be diligent with their mask wearing. Numbers across the country are on the rise with COVID virus. Page 2 of 3 Mayor Tobin also wished Chrissy Lanza a speedy recovery. He also added that the Planning Commission is scheduled for their meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. Volvo is on the agenda. Chief Kayser updated the board on the recent windstorm. They received 20 calls, most in the first hour. They had an issue with the IAM responding system. The Town of Colonie lost power and their generator wasn’t able to support the call load, so the IAM responding service went down. He mentioned that this happened about a year ago with a similar storm. He said there is a failsafe scanner that can be set up for $150.00. Trustee Sim asked if the Town of Colonie was planning to fix the issue with their generator, to which the Chief wasn’t sure. Mayor Tobin asked is any other departments had this scanner back-up system, to which the Chief stated that Fuller Road fire department had already set up this same scanner backup system and they had no issues with this past storm. The Chief said he would have the scanner back-up system in place within a week. Trustee Lockart thanked Superintendent Decker for his help with someone in her neighborhood. The Chief also mentioned that so far he has 3 volunteers signed up for coverage at the station during the Halloween drive-by. Superintendent Decker said he would also have a few of his workers there to assist with directing traffic. Abstract # 9 breakdown: General: $ 70,067.59 Water: $ 11,837.96 Sewer: $ 137,491.84 Total: $ 219,397.39 A motion was made by Trustee Sim to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by Trustee White.
