Deputy Mayor Sim opened the meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance, he also noted the exits. Roll Call: Mayor Leak Absent Trustee Lockart Present Trustee Murphy Present Deputy Mayor Sim Present Trustee Tobin Present Attorney DeCotis Present Minutes of the regularly scheduled board meeting that was held on October 7, 2019 were reviewed by the present members of the board. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve the minutes, as presented. Motion seconded by Trustee Murphy. VOTE: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Murphy Yes Trustee Tobin Yes Deputy Mayor Sim Yes Motion passed. Minutes approved. The Deputy Clerk asked for authorization to advertise for a public hearing for a four way stop sign at Holland Ave and Harriet Street to be held on November 4, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. A motion was made by Trustee Tobin. Deputy Mayor Sim stated that the Village Haunted House will be this upcoming Friday October 25th from 6pm – 10 pm in the Recreation Center. The kid’s party will be held on Saturday October 26th from 10 am – noon in the Cook Park main pavilion. Attorney DeCotis updated the Board on the ongoing case on Robert Drive. Attorney DeCotis stated that this case will be going to court. Attorney DeCotis stated that case on Moon Drive is wrapping up. The building Department is awaiting a court date to be set. DPW Superintendent Les Decker stated that Colonie Police was notified about the trailer on Robert Drive and it was moved. Superintendent Decker stated that the parking for Friday’s Haunted House will in the rear parking lot behind the Senior Center. The hay wagons will transport people to and from the Recreation Center. There will be no parking allowed ear the Fire House; the parking spaces will be coned off and DPW will provide a man for directing traffic. Superintendent Decker stated that the leaf vacuum will start the 1st Monday in November. Superintendent Decker updated the Board on a hydrant that was hit Sunday afternoon in front of 102 Locust Park. The individual who hit the hydrant also took out several barricades and left the scene. The incident was caught on an DPW employees Nest camera system and the driver also left behind their license plate; Colonie Police is working to identify them. Parts are on order for the barricades and the fire hydrant. Chief Kayser stated that Fire Prevention Night was a huge success and that they will be continuing to hold it on Thursday nights going forward. Board members stated that the event had a great turnout. Chief thanked the Board for their support and stated that the other CFC fire prevention events in the community were also well received. Abstract #9 Breakdown General: $ 163,226.76 Water: $ 23,522.36 Sewer: $ 24,010.27 Total: $ 210,759.39 A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by Trustee Murphy.
