The meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 2 Thunder Road, Albany, NY 12205. Deputy Mayor Sim opened the meeting at 10:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Mayor Tobin Present Deputy Mayor Sim Present Trustee Lockart Present Trustee Rubino Present Trustee Prevratil Absent Clerk Blot Present Minutes of the regularly scheduled Board meeting that was held on January 2, 2024 were reviewed by the members of the board. A motion was made by Trustee Rubino to approve the minutes. This motion was seconded by Trustee Lockart. Vote: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Rubino Yes Trustee Prevratil Absent Deputy Mayor Sim Yes Mayor Tobin Yes Motion passed. Clerk Blot asked for authorization for the following proclamations: -South Colonie Central School District on their 75th Anniversary Celebration -Eric Brizzell earning his Eagle Scout A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Sim to approve the proclamations as presented. This motion was seconded by Trustee Lockart. Vote: Trustee Lockart Yes Trustee Rubino Yes Trustee Prevratil Absent Deputy Mayor Sim Yes Mayor Tobin Yes Motion passed. Clerk Blot requested authorization to advertise for a public hearing for Resolution 2023- 75 “Authorize to expend funds for purchase of sewer jet-vac combo” to be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. Deputy Mayor Sim mentioned that this purchase is part of the 5-year plan and that the funds for the proposed purchase, if approved, will be taken from the capital reserve accounts: highway equipment, water equipment and sewer equipment. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Sim to authorize the Clerk to advertise as stated above. This motion was seconded by Trustee Rubino. Clerk Blot requested authorization on behalf of the Treasurer to approve the proposed budget transfer requests. A motion was made by Trustee Lockart to approve the budget transfer requests, as presented. This motion was seconded by Trustee Rubino. Trustee Lockart mentioned that she was happy to see the Mayor back and feeling better. Trustee Rubino commended the department of public works on the recent snow removal and added they are doing a great job. Deputy Mayor Sim also welcomed the Mayor back and said the department of public works has done a great job this season with the unpredictable weather we’ve been having. Clerk Blot mentioned that it was brought to her attention by Mr. and Mrs. Steven’s that the time of the planning public hearing for 59 Broderick Street taking place on February 6th was missing the time. Clerk Blot said she believes the time is 6:30 p.m., but will confirm with Joan Rueckert and correct the advertisement. Mayor Tobin mentioned that everyone is doing a great job during these busy times. The following reports were submitted: Senior lunch report 1/1/2024-1/5/2024 Abstract #16 General: $82,810.01 Water: $4,015.24 Sewer: $5,425.65 Total: $92,250.90 Deputy Mayor Sim made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
