Protest the RNC

Protest the Republican National Convention

On Sunday, August 29, I went with 275 other Capital District residents to the United for Peace and Justice protest of the Republican National Convention. These are the photos that I took.

The protest was peaceful. What were we protesting? We were protesting George W. Bush’s war in Iraq, the loss of Civil Liberties, the disparity between rich and poor, the Bush administration’s economic polies, the Bush administration’s health care polices, and the Bush administrations war on the environment.

Our voices are not welcome at the RNC. The only way we could have our voices heard was to take to the streets and shout.

When I spied the first port-o-pottie, I knew this will be a great protest. Unfortunately, there were only a very few port-o-potties, and none at the end of the protest, when it would have been really nice to have some!
