SPB meets with Bill Aylward
by Lynne Jackson
Representatives of SPB had the pleasure of meeting with Bill Aylward, Town Supervisor of the Town of Guilderland, in March. Chuck Reilly, Jerry Mueller, John Wolcott, and Lynne Jackson made the expedition to Guilderland to meet with Mr Aylward. We were pleased to note that Mr. Aylward had put on the door to his office one of the new Albany Pine Bush Preserve signs.
Mr. Aylward met with us for an hour-and-a-half and listened carefully to our concerns about Pine Bush preservation. We talked about many things, including using the parkland funds for Pine Bush preservation, the status of the $450,000 Crossgates gave Guilderland and the Commission to purchase land in the Pine Bush, among others. Mr. Aylward expressed an interest in taking a walk in the Pine Bush with members of Save the Pine Bush – when it gets a little warmer.
