A Sense of Wonder
one-woman play about the life and work of Rachel Carson
“A Sense of Wonder,”is a one-woman play about the life and work of Rachel Carson, will be performed at RPI’s Chapel and Cultural Center (2125 Burdett Avenue, Troy).
Rachel Carson was a marine biologist and zoologist whose book Silent Spring (1962) alerted the world to the dangers of chemical pesticides. She has been called “the patron saint of the environmental movement.”
Tickets are now on sale for $20 through the Regional Farm & Food Project (148 Central Avenue, 2nd Floor, Albany, NY 12206, 518/427-6537, e-mail: farmfood@capital,net) or at The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza. Senior citizens and full-time students (with valid ID) will be able to purchase tickets at the door for reduced rates ($10 and $5 respectively). It is suggested that purchases of $20 be made in advance as seating is limited.

Tired and frustrated by congested traffic on the Northway? Has the field where you used to play been converted to housing? Its time to take another look at sprawl. Come and listen to enlightened ideas about what sprawl is really about and how the state and federal government subsidize sprawl in a big way. Come discuss things not talked about at other venues! Presnetation followed by intensive question and answer period and suggestions for meaningful reform.
