TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 3 at 6:00 PM there will be a public hearing on the Draft Scoping document for the Solar Farm proposed for 2772 and 2792 Curry Road.

The public hearing will be held at the Colonie Town Hall, 534 New Loudon Road, Latham.

The Planning Board will hear people’s comments on the Draft Scoping document. This document lists the topics that need to be included in the Environmental Impact Statement.

The Town of Colonie did not post the announcement of this public hearing on their website until this morning when I called and told them the meeting was not posted. So, though I had been checking the website for information so I could share it with you, nothing was posted until I called this morning. The hearing notice was published in the Times Union on September 18; but never made it to their website until today.

I hope some people can make it! Even if you do not speak, the more people who attend the hearing, the better. We need to demonstrate to the Town of Colonie Planning Board that we are very concerned about a solar farm being constructed in an area recommended for full protection in the Pine Bush.
