  • It is prime Pine Bush ecosystem, classified as a full protection area by the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission.
  • Karner Blues occupied this site until a few years ago.
  • Blue lupine still grows on this site.
  • No study has been conducted to see if Frosted Elfin occupy this site.

Time Line as of November 29. 2005

  • On November 21, the Albany Common Council decided NOT to require an Environmental Impact Statement to be prepared.
  • Next step is for the Albany Common Council to hold a hearing on whether or not the land should be re-zoned. The hearing is scheduled for Monday, December 5.
