Lets not lose our history! Why is there a Pine Bush today? Did the benevolent government decide to preserve this rare ecosytem?

The answer is NO! The Pine Bush exists today because citizens of Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Guilderland, Colonie, and many other places worked together for decades to stop destruction in the Pine Bush.

We won some. We lost some. But, there is a Pine Bush Preserve today. More work needs to be done. But, on February 20 we will celebrate the strength of ordinary citizens working together to do what is right, and fight City Hall.
