Guilderland, Feeney and Ford: Town of Guilderland Planning Board officials are considering concept approval for this development that will destroy 103 acres of Pine Bush by allowing 30 plush, expensive houses to be built on land owned by Feeney and Ford. This land is adjacent to and just west of the State Preserve. The Albany Pine Bush Management Commission targeted this land as full protection.
Call or write Guilderland Town Supervisor Jerry Yerbury to express your opposition to this development and emphasize that Guilderland should purchase this land for preserve. Guilderland has a pot of money (which it obtained by making developers give money in lieu of setting aside green space when a proposal is approved) to use to buy land. Ask Supervisor Yerbury to use some of that money to buy the Feeney and Ford parcel. Town Supervisor Jerry Yerbury, Guilderland Town Hall, Route 20, Guilderland, NY 12084.
Albany, Drumlin Fields and 365 Washington Ave. Ext.: The Albany Common Council has referred these developments proposal to its Zoning Committee for approval. Call your alderman and express your opposition to these projects.
