Charlie Touhey
After 12 years of sucess at holding off Charlie Touhey’s proposed office complex on 300 Washington Ave. Ext. in the Pine Bush, Save the Pine Bush lost a round. Judge Teresi handed down his ruling just a few weeks before he presided over the trial of the police officers who shot Amado Diallo.
Judge Teresi’s ruling has consequences for other environmental groups litigating over the State Environmental Quality Review Act. His ruling allows developers and municipalities to introduce new evidence at the Findings Statement stage, when the public has no more opportunity to comment or offer evidence contrary to this new evidence.
